Here's how to do it:
- Log-in
to the Google Apps dashboard (go to http://www.google.com/a/yourdomain.com
- Click on the “Service Settings” tab. Click on “Start Page”
3. Go to your domain hosting service (i.e. GoDaddy.com). On the Domain Manager, click on “Total DNS Control and MX Records”.
4. On the
DNS Control Panel, create a CNAME record by clicking on “Add new CNAME
record”.
Enter an Alias Name “calendar”. Point to Host Name “ghs.google.com” Click ok.
A “Results and Status” dialogue box will confirm the addition. Click ok.
*Repeat for start, sites, and docs
For mail, just edit the record and point the host name to ghs.google.com
3. Go
back to the Apps dashboard and click
on “Change URL” and then click on "Change URLs for All Domain Services". Choose the custom name and click continue.
